Standard Coupling Units

MTS Systemtechnik GmbH has developed a low-priced standard coupling unit, which simulates the air interface between GSM/DCS/DCN/UMTS or DECT mobile devices and the belonging base stations in co-operation with T-Mobile. The absorption, cuased by mountains, forests, land scape etc., is simulated by programmable high frequency attenuators. According to this the handover can be tested between the base stations in the laboratory. This is possible by the large frequency range of the mobile communication units also for the different net standards.
