Apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator in milling technology (m/f/d)
// Your tasks
Where there is milling, there are chips. Metal shavings, to be precise, because with an apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator (m/f/d) in milling technology, you will become a specialist in the machining of workpieces made of metal and sometimes also plastic. You will work with milling machine systems to produce precision components made of metal/plastic. Above all, your work requires extreme precision.
With so much precision, it’s a good thing that the majority of manufacturing processes are now carried out by machines. Almost all of the machines you work with during your training as a cutting machine operator (m/f/d) in milling technology are computer-controlled. For this reason, a large part of your training will be dedicated to programming CNC machines, i.e. computer-controlled machines.
The training period is 3.5 years.
